Terms and Conditions of additionnal baggage allowance

This service is intended for customers who wish to transport a number and/or weight of baggage items that exceeds their initial baggage allowance (excluding transport of pets).

It is available:

• when purchasing the ticket on the Internet or via a mobile phone*,
• at any time after purchasing the ticket in the “Manage your reservations” area,
• when registering online for flights provided by Air France, departing from some stops (except on flights to Abidjan),
• at the airport using our Self-Service Kiosks (in Metropolitan France and the United States),
• or at Air France counters from certain airports.

Additional baggage allowance can be purchased online** for 20% less than the purchase price at the airport. Additional baggage allowance can be purchased on the majority of www.airfrance.com*** websites. Additional baggage allowance is passenger-specific and can only be purchased by debit or credit card.
You can also purchase this additional baggage allowance using our Self-Service Kiosks. Discount does not apply in this case.

Purchased additional baggage allowance is not modifiable or refundable, and cannot be used on a flight other than that for which it was purchased. In case of connecting flights, the additional baggage allowance applies to all flights during the trip (from departure to final destination).
Flying Blue Silver, Gold, and Platinum members can transport one baggage item free of charge, in addition to their baggage allowance. The 20% reduction applies to all other additional baggage allowance purchased online.
Please note: in case of cancellation, neither Cancellation insurance nor Comprehensive insurance will cover fees related to the purchase of additional baggage allowance.

* Except for flights to and from Corsica. In this case, additional baggage allowance can only be purchased during online check-in.
** It is not possible to purchase additional baggage allowance online for flights:
- when online check-in must be completed on another airline's website,
- to or from Amman, Damascus, N'Djamena or Malabo.
*** With the exception of the following websites: Australia, South Korea, New Caledonia, Slovakia, Slovenia.
