At once a restaurant, a market and a magazine, Botanica invites you to share healthy, colourful and creative cuisine.

Botanica has taken up residence on the premises of a former liquor shop in the neighbourhood of Silver Lake. The XXL-size "Liquor" sign survived the change of owners and gives the place an industrial feel. Founders Heather Sperling and Emily Fiffer are food journalists who wanted to make it into something altogether different. The Botanica concept spurred three projects: a restaurant, a market and an online food magazine. On the website, you will find a lot of recipes, some of which being prepared at the restaurant, and easily reproduced at home using products from the Silver Lake market. Local and seasonal produce are the menu's highlights. However, this is no vegetarian restaurant, as you will find several meat or fish-based dishes. The two creators of the place insist on the fact that there actually is no rule to follow. Good vibes and creativity are the only operative words here!
