Domaine Pieretti, a family wine tradition

Built in 1994 by the sea at the northern end of the village of Santa Severa, the Domaine Pieretti vineyard offers visitors tastings and direct sales of its different vintages.

Surrounded by shrubland and sea, the Domaine Pieretti vineyards stretch across the hills as far as the eye can see. The winery has been modernised with the aim of making its processes as sustainable as possible, and now not only has a pneumatic press and thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, but also takes pride in harvesting all its grapes by hand. What's more, the bracing sea breeze protects the vines from a number of diseases and keeps them wonderfully healthy, resulting in less treatment, and fewer CO2-emitting tractor journeys.
Domaine Pieretti, whose wines are recognised regionally and nationally, produces about 45,000 bottles a year of crus including Muscat de Cap Corse AOP, Vin de Pays de l'Île de Beauté, and Corse Coteaux du Cap Corse AOP. After your tasting, you can walk into the village and go to the Tower of Seneca. Located west of the Luri valley towards Pinu and clinging to rocks, this building constructed by the Dei Moti family during the second half of the 16th century was named after the famous Roman philosopher-because he was sentenced to exile there by Emperor Claudius for the crime of adultery.
