In the Bavarian Alps, near the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympic site, you will put on your trekking shoes to explore the narrow Partnach Gorge. Listed as a natural monument since 1912, it runs over 700 metres and zigzags between natural waterfalls. The trail takes about two hours and remains easily accessible, no matter what shape you are in.
Walk between steep cliffs and their tumultuous rapids, and explore the geological formations shaped by the Partnach River. A perfect experience to be one with nature, it can be performed in all seasons, as much under summertime bright lights as winter frozen environment, which shapes the waterfalls into gorgeous sculptures. You cannot leave before crossing the 70-metre high suspended iron bridge, from which to enjoy spectacular vistas that are worthy of the trip in themselves.
